Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnotherapy?

Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy (HCH) is a holistic and highly effective healing modality that addresses a person’s mind, body, and soul. It is a deep subconscious process that is different from hypnosis.

How does it work?

As humans we enter into the natural state of trance throughout each day. A trance is simply shifting back and forth between the conscious and subconscious mind. Examples of hypnotic trances include when we fall asleep and wake up, or even when we are watching tv or driving on the highway.

Heart Centered Hypnotherapy is an internationally recognized psychotherapy technique for treating mental and psychosomatic issues. HCH uses 100% of the mind to identify and heal the source of unresolved issues and inner conflicts that cause distress and/or unwanted behavior. By relaxing the conscious mind and accessing the subconscious mind, positive changes are made at a deep internal level, providing effective change that is even more profound than traditional talk therapy.

The hypnotherapy trance simply opens a doorway into the subconscious where either repressed memories and emotions can be accessed and healed, or you can be guided into a heightened receptive state, where you can begin to carve new, positive pathways in your subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is a catalyst for change, not a cure-all, and your effort will determine the change you see in your life.

Will I be asleep?

No, you will not be asleep or unconscious. You are very aware of your surroundings under hypnosis, but you are very relaxed and focused.  Heart Centered Hypnotherapy is practiced in a relaxed state of consciousness where one is able to transcend mental blocks and navigate into the subconscious mind, where everything that has ever happened to us is stored. This allows the core issue(s) that are contributing to self-sabotaging patterns of behavior to become clear, and provides an opportunity to re-program the internal tapes that play in our head and control our behavior. By using the subconscious to access the source of the issue, deep wounds and inner trauma can be healed, helping people to become ‘unstuck.’

Will I be in control?

YES! While in a trance state, the hypnotized person has total control, can hear, and can communicate with their hypnotherapist. You always have free will in hypnosis. You will not say or do anything that you do not want to. You can also come out of hypnosis at any time should you choose to. Therapeutic hypnosis is used to improve your health and the well-being of your whole-being. (It is nothing like stage hypnosis which is used for entertainment purposes only.) Hypnosis is a complacent, fully relaxed state for the mind and body to examine and shift its behavior and perspective in life.

Who would benefit?

Hypnotherapy can be used as a treatment modality for a variety of presenting issues such as:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • PTSD

  • addictions

  • phobias

  • obesity

  • performance anxiety

  • sleep

  • illness

  • pain

The awareness and self discovery that takes place during and after hypnotherapy is profound. The process of HCH allows one to rewrite his/her story and develop new conclusions and behaviors. Heart Centered Hypnotherapy sessions enable people to emerge as a transformed person, experiencing greater clarity, feeling free of inner judgment, shame, grief, anger, isolation, and anxiety.

HCH is influenced by many well known psychologists throughout the last century including Jung, Perlz, Erikson, Mahler, Kohut, Maslow, van der Kolk, Porges, Levine, and Rothschild.

What if I am just looking to change subconscious programming (and not go into the past)?

During our initial conversation we will determine the best route for you. As mentioned above, the process of hypnotherapy can take two roads. One road is to resolve the unresolved from the past and create new ways forward (releasing the effects that a past experience may be causing in present day) through hypnotherapy. The second road is to re-training your subconscious programming to make improvements in your life through hypnosis. You could think of it as diving in the deep end or remaining in the shallow end. Both are effective and significant. That said, if you are only looking to take the person you are today and create the positive change you desire, without exploring how you got here, that is absolutely possible too and holistic hypnosis could be just right for you. If you are ready to deep dive and achieve therapeutic outcomes, lets chat about heart-centered hypnotherapy today!
